The unintended expat blogger behind EveningGlowHub

Hi, I'm Alejandro
Project manager. A parent. An expat based in Madrid, Spain.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Relocating to Spain wasn’t part of our long-range plan. Like many moves for expats, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complicated than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But slowly, routines formed. We discovered places that worked for us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built EveningGlowHub
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site exists to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when real changes occur
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Spain goes on, as does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I will continue recording what we find.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best wishes,
Alejandro
